A woman with curly gray hair and glasses sits outdoors in a grassy field. She is in a bright orange jacket, a white scarf, and light blue jeans. She is smiling and cradling a golden retriever against her side.

Miss Norma, an elderly woman with curly gray hair and glasses, smiles warmly while sitting at a table with a drink topped with whipped cream. Text on the image is a quote from Miss Norma:
"I know one thing, if they tell me I have cancer I donβt want any of that chemo, no poking and prodding β no treatment. Iβll just leave it be."
Her birth and death dates are also listed: March 31, 1925 β September 30, 2016
Miss Norma, wearing a white button-down shirt and glasses, sits beside her daughter-in-law Ramie, who wears a white cap and tie-dye shirt. They're both laughing and enjoying each other's company.
Above the women, there is a quote from Ramie about helping families discuss end-of-life choices:
"Our greatest hope is that Miss Norma's story will help other families have an easier time broaching this difficult subject. Although we know that driving your loved one around in a motorhome at the end of their life is certainly not the answer for everyone, we must ask, 'How would you like to be walked home?'"
