made some wonderful lamb meatballs today with harissa and junk, made some wonderful hummus too. kit made some shkug (spelling?) and it was all just fantastic together

made more angel food cupcakes for kits bday treat! and used the leftover egg yolks to make more of those iranian walnut cookies too... gonna use the last 4 yolks on a dairy free crème brûlée maybe? or at least a custard !!

crazy to think when we married, i thought i hated steak ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ i just never got to have a good & properly cooked one before really.. we couldn't afford that type of thing growing up so ¯ eh! now im big on it. still prefer sushi tho. if i had the $ to blow id go omakase not steakhouse lol but hey

anyway they are very fucking bad pictures but the steak was really good. tasted amazing... medium rare perfectly (hard to tell in the pics, but it was dead on) very crispy crunchy salty tasty sear (for a first time at least) and i didn't set off the smoke alarm! wahoo

made a steak yesterday ... never made a steak before. never cooked raw meat actually before a few months ago (besides bacon and stuff i guess...) when kit & i married, i couldn't even cook eggs. i mean, i could fry a mean egg, but OCD prevented me from eating it... it feels good to be able to do it
