In my life-time, I've watched the "American Dream" that my grandparents had, of a 2-parent family in a house they own in a robust community with decent schools and engaging civic life, with one good-paying job one spouse can retire from at 65, become an absolute castle-in-the-sky for most people.

This is the world’s problem, actually. And there is nothing absent minded about what I said. Which wasn’t an argument. It was a statement. This staggering failure of imagination, this idea that Democrats in power are powerless…. is absurd. If they have no power, why don’t they resign?

If any other president in all of history said the military should use American cities as a training ground he would be removed from office that same day. The hardest thing to tolerate in all this is how relatively silent elected democrats are. It’s ridiculous.
