Report: National Park Service RIF To Be "Deep And Blunt" A reduction-in-force coming to the National Park Service within the next two weeks has been described internally as being "deep and blunt," according to a social media post.

Bad news from our sister agency, National Park Service.

The story indicates this will apply to all of DOI!

If true, the beginning of the Reduction in Force (RIF) would coincide with the 30-day timeframe after competitive areas were released.

Please DM me if you are hearing anything.

Zenobia pulverulenta is the only species in the genus and is endemic to the Southeast USA. It has broadly bell-shaped flowers and capsular fruits. I’ve seen this one only in cultivation, never in the wild. #Ericaceae #Botany 🌾🧪🌱

Every now & then I get lucky with mushrooms; it’s always in spades. These are likely a species of burn morel as the soils in both places were recently disturbed in the PNW Washington. *never eat a fungi you aren’t 100% sure of! #nativefungi #mushrooms #fungi #morels

Spotted beebalm (Lamiaceae: Monarda punctata) can be found throughout much of eastern North America, often in sandy soil. The large white bracts that surround the smaller flowers attract many pollinators, especially wasps. Indiana Dunes National Park, Indiana, 08/11/2012.
