While with the IBI Group, our very own Kerry Ross of designed and developed construction drawings and led the Parks team in a learning-by-doing exercise to build and plant the two green roofs and to help familiarize the department with extensive green roof technology.

The intent behind the project was to keep the interior of the C-cans cool in the summer and provide a working demonstration for the City of Calgary Parks Department.

Two xeric green roofs for the City of Calgary Parks Department were installed on shipping containers utilizing mounds and dry drainage rills to contour and manage water.

We served as subcontractor to design and build the living walls.

We trialed two different living wall systems.

The exterior living wall was highly experimental, using native and adaptive species. While the wall panels have been relocated to another site, they continue to overwinter successfully despite the thin profile of the system.

A tenant fit-out for Rocky Mountain Soap store in Canmore entailed a design to meet Living Building Challenge standards.

The new prototype store incorporated living walls—one exterior, the other interior—and planted tree, all which was provided by Green T Design.

Some "green roofs" I found on a place called Cinquera, this is not part of a progressive project, but a natural occurrence and a tradition followed by the local, it helps to cool down the houses and it looks good.
