Reworking the garden biome with some neon lighting and new effects. Trying to push it toward that synthwave sci-fi feel without overdoing it.

Updated the hub area in my game with new visuals, a flickering hologram, drone movement, and a small interactive detail for the curious. It's finally starting to feel like something important happens here.

Been testing parallax on ambient particles using an orthographic camera. In this scene, the closer butterflies shift more and appear larger to create a stronger sense of depth.

I've set up this shiny, weirdly intimidating tower in the middle of a vista I've been working on. Added some lighting around the edges to give it a more glowing, mysterious vibe.

Here's an enemy destruction effect I've been working on. Went for something neon, punchy, and bright enough to look like a small fireworks finale.

Been working on a paint splash effect that appears when you get a reward. Wanted it to be colorful, satisfying, and to make a literal "splashy" entrance.

Testing prop destruction alongside updated visual effects for the laser beam skill.

Added a location node you can encounter during a mission. It's a quiet forest area with an old data well at the center, designed to feel abandoned but still holding something valuable.

Slowly improving the effects in my game. I recently updated this hit impact visual by replacing a flat sprite with a particle-based effect. It's not a huge overhaul, but these bits of polish add up over time.

Showing off a new environmental visual effect: a neon glowing border that pulses with music and sound! It makes the level feel more alive during combat and definitely adds some color to the chaos.

Hey thanks! Currently, it's relatively slow compared to where I want to be, but that's the nature of any artistic or technical project. I'm looking to hit some milestones before I release a public demo.
08.07.2025 17:58 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Was tinkering with a card skill that blasts a fireball, but then thought... what if YOU were the fireball? Now you can yeet yourself into enemies like a flaming human torpedo. ๐ฅ

Been tuning up the environment. Added more ambient particles, extra props, and started hand-drawing more things into the background. Here's a quick look at a location node you can explore (and maybe get a little lost in).

Testing out leaf and wind particles for better ambience. Went for a Wind Waker inspired wind effect for a calm, subtle vibe. ๐จ

Been working on special VFXs for rare skill cards that show up during missions! They're a high roll when they appear, so I've been tuning lighting, sound, and slow-mo to make using them feel like a proper reward.
#gamedev #indiegame #roguelike
Made some UI improvements for when my character shifts from action to card mode! The goal was to create the feeling of a new scene being painted in, with a stronger visual impact and clearer cues that show you are accessing a deck of skills.

Hey thanks! I didn't have a solid art style nailed down when I first started this project. But as I finalized the visuals, the logos evolved as well. I think the hardest part about iteration is committing, since you feel like a better thing is around the corner so you're chasing perfection.
23.06.2025 15:55 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Painted and coded a new vista for one of my biomes โจ๐ณ Enjoy the view!

Just added a vacuum robot to my game, because why not?
Next step: slap on some lasers and call it a boss fight.
#gamedev #indiegame #unity3d
Don't forget an I.V. of coffee and Mountain Dew.
15.06.2025 23:54 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Planned a simple backdrop but got distracted chasing awe over subtlety. Probably spent way more time painting and coding it than I should have, but still worth it!

When it's Monday and you have to teleport to work and explain to your boss why you're late. Again.
#gamedev #indiegame
Fun fact: Comets are mostly ice and dust, basically dirty snowballs flying through space. In my game, they're also a Skill card you can drop on enemy machines! Turns out dirty snowballs hit really hard when falling from orbit.
#gamedev #indiegame #roguelike #screenshotsaturday
Added some visual flair to my game's dodge system! Time it right and you trigger a "Perfect Dodge" with a short dramatic, cinematic. Still can't use it to dodge laundry, unfortunately. ๐งบ

My game's character is enjoying this totally real and genuine sun โ๏ธ! You can tell itโs real because it has a smiley face and a soft holographic shimmer. Iโm going outside to stare at it too. It always smiles at me. I think we're getting closer ๐

Here's a look at the rewards (skill cards) you get for destroying dangerous machines!
Kinda like when I smashed a Roomba I swore was out to get me. It was just low on battery...but hey, free parts!
#gamedev #indiedev
Added a card to my action deckbuilder roguelike where you smack enemies with a giant ham. Yes, a ham. It works disturbingly well!

Just rewatched my first attempt at a character concept for my game from way back. It's wild seeing where it started vs where it ended up. I had no clue what I was doing, but now I'm kinda proud of how it turned out.
#gamedev #indiegame #digitalart
Just encountered a mysterious dog-like drone in-game. It looked at me... and then wagged its antenna tail. Must pet.

Hi! I started prototyping around 2 1/2 years ago but serious development started just over a year ago. I took a peek at your project, and it looks like you are about to launch! Congrats!
