if you only read the graphic novel, you would never know that she has associative synesthesia. Her thoughts would've been so fun to translate visually!

Regardless, I just wish it did more. Its not a bad graphic novel or adaption, its just... disappointing. (5/6)

MAN there was so much more that could've been done!!! Like take this scene of Arctic from the beginning. You could've portrayed his depressed hatefulness in a more interesting and visual way! Like in how Moon Rising when a character was introduced, they had a neat little background and such (3/🧵)

I'm kind of disappointed. There's a lot of telling instead of showing. I kinda have a love-hate relationship with the art style at times too but my main gripe is just the execution of it all.

Got the graphic novel version of Darkstalker for Christmas, 1. to complete my collection ofc and 2. because its my favorite book in the series and I wanted to see how it got handled and translated over (especially Whiteout because she's my favorite character) and... well.

I always forget how enjoyable and fun doing actual art that isn't just colored sketches are when I go a long while without making a fully done piece. Probably won't post it for a while as its part of a sort of collection, you could say.

The dragon itself and fire were drawn and colored traditionally (pens + markers) with some digital edits (fire glow, background).

Which like, I use VLC for music on my phone because no I am not paying money for fucking basic functionalities. Point is, phone do too much. iPod do enough.

Also, the wired headphones block out sound around me better than my airpods do. No, I don't wanna hear people around me, actually 👍

Kinda hate a little bit how I prefer the iPod over my Phone for listening to music now.

I don't need a brick that can do everything and distract me for 10+ minutes from my work when the (still) cool, hip device from the 2000s does the one thing I need it to do.
