I've finally managed to dig out of the absolute hellhole that was the latter half of last year + first few months of this year! Things are better and still getting better! But it's still really rocky for other reasons, and I need time to stabilize properly. But I hope to be back soon-ish ❤️‍🩹

being an indie bookseller in the helltimes has felt both very stable and very stabilizing, and part of me wishes everyone could be on my side of the counter for a little while, because I think it would help some of you be a little less cynical and doomy right now. so here is my VERY anecdotal data:

Side note but I'm starting to realize just how much I adore absurdism and abstract art? Like, so much.

It's so fun and I wanna try to put that energy in my art more.

Realism is awesome and people who can pull it off, especially on stuff like robots n shit, are gods in my eyes

But I think for me it clicks in my head a lot better to vaguely suggest at what I'm trying to depict

Recently, instead of fretting over drawing things like electronics and objects and backgrounds with realism and detail, I've started trying to draw loose and abstract to capture the Vibe instead.

And guys? Drawing that stuff is so much more fun for me now 😭🙏

At first it looks like a relatively normal art piece, and then b/c of the way I fuck around with effects/copying and pasting layers later, it looks like the video is just glitching out and dying.

Most loose ends didn't involve murder obviously.

Did Janice mostly get sent out on the murder ones though? Yes.
