People who still use your birth name/gender/etc: why? Have you ever thought about changing them? Why didn't you? I assume that every person who has changed their name/gender presentation/etc has put some thought into it.

I just saw a video challenging people to walk their dog through a farm without force. And, honestly, I think my girl could probably do it solely under voice control if I had enough treats. I'll admit that she's well bred and has had 6 months of pretty intensive training. However, it is possible.

My rage of the day is people insisting that scaring and hurting a dog is the only way to make them behave. I'm not going to judge people correctly using whatever tools work for their dog but it's plain wrong to say that force-free training never works.

I think I'm witnessing someone having a mental health episode in the comments of a Facebook post. This person's writing is disjointed, disorganized, and somewhat word salad-y. However they're also defending antisemitism. I'm bewildered and don't know what to do.

Sin isn't part of my beliefs but making the world better, in whatever way is possible, is.

This feels very Quaker to me. This is one of the reasons I left the Meeting. I beg all the Quakers I know to use these urges for good.

While I'm disgusted we have a proud boys chapter, I'm not surprised. For such a varied city, we can be quite hateful.

Saying its ableist is the cynical exploitation of disabled identity to provide cover for hate.

Understanding that Bechdel is a TERF, how are we reframing the question of if movies center people of marginalized genders?

I just saw discussion of weight loss drugs and now I'm triggered. Look up Orthorexia, if you don't know what it is. With the obvious trigger warning for eating disorders.

Wraith 5e @jkcorellia "Queer" saves time explaining myself, & I'm tired. "Queer" does a better job of being all- encompassing than a string of letters of any length. "Queer" is vague. That's good. "Queer" doesn't insist on hard lines between categories. "Queer" means weird - we know & we revel in it.

This solves a lot of my problems with larps. No one "dies" and can no longer play. Bad guys don't have to miss out on story. Everyone can win and no one has to lose.

Once everyone thinks they're on the same side, the group celebrates.

In practicality, it's a mixture of a psychological game and tag. Weapons only make you freeze for a few seconds but that's enough to get you tagged. Maybe aliens have bases that humans can't get near, so they can plot, but this singles you out as an alien.
