Fucking yikes. Glad I went with EndeavourOS for my Linux switch instead of Fedora. I dumped Windows partially to escape from this AI nonsense.

I know Arch-based distros like Endeavour are painful for new users, but at least Linux Mint still exists...

Switched to Linux today lol. Had enough of Microsoft.

I installed Endeavour OS and I'm setting it up. I'm getting my default apps, setting up my hardware, and trying out games in Proton.

So far so good! I think this will work out nicely.

Two years.

It has been two whole years since I started work on Fury's Sky: Vagabond my #doom based #flight #videogame.

And let me tell you, #gamedev with this has been a ride. Highs, lows, and all.

I did it!

I put in all the animations for the Knight enemy and added it to Fury's Sky: Vagabond! Now I just need to do the other bosses I have planned.

I find I've been thinking about my place in the world a lot. What I'm good at, what I can do, that sort of thing. And I find myself distraught because I'm good at so very little.

Even so, I still managed to do some gamedev work. Whether I'm skilled or not, I still need to finish my game.

I get it. I'm not even affected by it all that much (except for all the autism eugenics stuff) and I still have such a huge problem with all of it.

It feels like a declaration of war against human decency and the excuses for it are just so exhausting.

I like bullying the Alpha Pyroar and its posse for funsies.

But I DO like the new Pokémon. And so do most people who have ACTUALLY played the game. The whiners on the Web are there to whine; everyone else is too busy playing and enjoying themselves.

Plus, I'm not interested in kowtowing to a toxic fanbase that's been livid at each new release since B/W.

Hey, you have a much higher research level than I do. Probably have more of the side missions done too. So you're reaping the benefits of playing slow at least.

Yup. Bonus points if it's a 3D game and you have to rig and animate models.

It's fun, but BOY is it time-consuming. And then there's stuff like inverse kinematics you gotta deal with to prevent feet from clipping into surfaces...

Honestly, I'm surprised stuff like this doesn't happen more often, what with how complex games can be these days. And ESPECIALLY considering the technical mess ScaVio were.

I honestly feel like I should be further ahead in programming and 3D modeling than I am right now. It's just frustrating being held back by things I don't know.

Legends Z-A's battle system can be wonky, but the way it can let you style on opponents like this is just DIVINE.

I'm tired. Like, constantly tired. Just getting out of bed and trying to take care of the kids and doing my chores is tiring. It feels like my zest for life has almost entirely dried up.

What's worse is that I know I can do better. I had that zest before. But I don't know how to get it back...

Yeah, I feel you. I'm getting near the end of the Royale and while the level curve does smooth out later, there's still plenty of boss trainers and Alpha Pokemon that take me for a ride.

That said, it does get better, especially when you get more megas and Mega Stones

Saw a "critique" of Legends Z-A where GF was lazy for using the teleporting elevators to get atop buildings instead of ladders, even though there ARE ladders in the game and GF used teleporters in previous games.

I hate the Pokemon fandom.

A lot. It's honestly quite a bit to take in.

I've done some insane things with my mods, but I think this WW2 mod for freaking Skyrim has me beat by a country mile.
