01.02.2026 17:51 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Is there a social media/media course for doctors/registered professions? I keep finding a lot for marketing etc but I'm after something different
01.02.2026 17:50 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Have you done your anarchist callisthenics today?
25.01.2026 01:05 β π 0 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Well like...America ten to fifteen years ago. Still opportunities to stop degradation of rights but cynically - its not likely. Lots of legislation happening that takes indigenous representation out of laws, environmental concerns minimised etc. for the long term. Very pro-privatisiation
13.12.2025 22:14 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm a junior doctor in NZ - trained here and its true, the pay in Australia is MUCH better, and working conditions. Govt is right wing at the moment but introducing lots of laws that have ongoing repercussions many years in to the future. Things have changed a lot in the last ten years
13.12.2025 19:47 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0So proud of the kids, both of them got perfect report cards, excellence in all areas (!) and Mr 11 got an award for Te Reo Me Εna Tikanga and Miss 7 got Kaitiakitanga π₯°π₯° I'm so pleased for them! So glad the went to the puna reo, they're both thriving #maoriexcellence
11.12.2025 19:13 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0And it was also poor flow 15 years ago and every year since
04.12.2025 10:08 β π 2 π 2 π¬ 0 π 0Every year the media blames patients for inappropriately clogging up EDβ¦ when we all know that the data shows the REAL BIG PROBLEM is a lack of investment in community services.
THE HOSPITAL IS BLOCKED BECAUSE WE CANβT SEND PEOPLE HOME.
But every time we try to spend on care in the community the media starts printing garbage about turning into communists, lazy people taking advantage of handouts etc.
And the political football is passed around while people sit on plastic chairs for 22 hours.
Great culture can save lives. Literally.
Amazing letter in todayβs @thetimes.com about Tom Stoppard
October 27th for MΔori women, no wonder I've been grumpy the last few weeks...
30.11.2025 18:04 β π 4 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Whenever NZers have an option to say publicly that they don't believe in what this government is doing to MΔori, there are more on the side of right than the side of wrong
- more people voted for MΔori wards than against them
- more schools decided to give effect to Te Tiriti than did not

They're facing a Dire Emergency: broken down trucks, dangerous staffing, faulty equipment, and FENZ refusing to address a failing system. Firefighters want to keep New Zealanders safeβbut they need FENZ to show up and genuinely prioritise community safety. #nzpol

Tomorrow is the Fifth of November β but letβs forget Guy Fawkes and his actions against an arrogant Protestant king and instead look to our own history: the unlawful attack on Parihaka and, by extension, MΔori sovereignty.

A week of people acting horrendously selfishly. Sometimes I want working conditions and pay and the cost of living to be better so people aren't so stressed and awful to interact with argh
