I've only read the first two chapters and it's already moved me to tears with how beautifully written it is!

It's genuinely horrific what is happening and even worse than SO MANY people are willing to ignore it or even support it.

I started Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer yesterday because I desperately need nonfiction reminders that there are people in this world who care deeply for the planet, the spirits who reside here and their fellow humans.

We did! We had a couple of snow days followed by delayed openings! I can't believe how much there was. So much fun but I'm ready to not be so cold lol

I enjoyed this, it was definitely Kingfisher's style. I appreciated the nonbinary representation and as always I appreciate that her main characters are so unique.

I'm also so excited to get to Polish Folk Magic, I am in the author's Patreon and she is a phenomenal teacher. I have been exploring my Polish heritage and cannot wait to incorporate more ancestral folk magic into my practice.

I'm 3 chapters in (and slowly doing the exercises) and have already learned so much from Alive With Spirits. This is my first of the author's books, but I love the writing style and will definitely be picking more up in the future.

Empire of the Dawn by @misterkristoff.bsky.social is absolutely perfect. I'm 57% through the audiobook and it has been bloody brilliant so far. Adoringly calling the author a bastard every time a piece falls into place. As Gabriel de Leon would say, "Fuck. My. Face."
