Just finished the first one. Definitely enjoyed it. I liked the "small" story" which is a great intro do the BattleTech Saga versus the larger, epic sagas which can lose people.

I know its the first BattleTech book, and it feels like the Mechs are given more flexible attributes than appear later.

Bloody Hell...Finished! I Finished the Fox Stories. Excellent Stories.

No need to Fix Anything...except they need a Dire Wolf...because a Dire Wolf fixes everything...even if nothing needs needs Fixing.

Sadly, I've known about BattleTech from even before the trilogy was released. I read bunch of sourcebooks, data info, etc. Just never read any of the novels.

I've played briefly in the late 90s, and the father of one of my friends had a huge table set up in the garage. Played a couple of times as a "guest". I've always enjoyed the lore and setting.

But im looking forward to moving forward learning the game properly...and plastic Minis!!!

So...after 30+ years of reading SARNA and sourcebooks, im finally diving into BattleTech.

The Game and the Novels.

I blame my Buddy Winter, and Michael Stackpole, whom I've read a lot of his work but missed his BattleTech novels....so of course I have to read them.

ANUBIS, GUIDE TO THE AFTERLIFE
