As someone who worked retail for far too long, it is so incredibly awkward when you're just doing your job and someone starts telling you their life story.

I don't get when people are at a business like a grocery store or coffee shop or whatever and the worker asks "how are you today" or whatever and the person immediately starts dumping on them. I get emotions can be high but do you expect a minimum wage employee to be your therapist?

Obviously that should say Marm but I didn't catch my phone autocorrecting 🙄

Oh yeah, I totally get it! Maybe set it down for a bit and see how you feel when you come back to it?

Honestly the point might be moot he hasn't actually paid me yet and I don't know what he might pay. I just told him if he insists, whatever he thinks it's worth to him. 🙃

I want to get myself something but also I could use that to get higher quality shoes for the kiddo, or maybe some extra clothes. Or other practical necessary stuff.

But as I get older I realize I truly have a canine mind and just want a treat for every single thing I do. :(

That big dumb sewing project I finished? I wasn't going to charge the guy because it took me ages to finish and I fucked up, and he bought all the materials anyway (minus a new zipper I got because of fuck up #1) but he insists on paying me.
