China’s ambassador to Canada, Wang Di, just told Canadians through CTV, that if we drop our EV tariffs, China will drop tariffs on Canadian goods - including canola - and commit to buying Canadian oil and LNG. Wang says China’s door for more Canadian crude oil “will be open.” #cdnpoli

I don’t know who needs to hear this but the CDC is being eviscerated right now. America is not going to have any kind of outbreak response capacity after tonight. Americans’ health data is no longer secure. Say goodbye to federal public health in any capacity. It’s a disaster. We won’t recover.

If you don’t delete an AI video after multiple people have pointed out to you that it is, honestly, fuck you. You are spreading misinformation at best, and at worst, contributing to the deterioration of our shared reality.

I don't think we appreciated what a landmark this was for representation in cartoons.
As someone who also lives with an angry, vengeful monster where my stomach should be, this was huge.

University caught out using AI to wrongly accuse students of cheating with AI An Australian university has accused thousands of its students of cheating with artificial intelligence. The problem? Many have done nothing wrong.

I now allocate a tutorial to critical ai literacy, in the weeks before a major essay is due. Most students know the slop is slop, and quickly learn it is planet-boiling slop. If unis can not educate students about ai what the fuck is the point is my view.

You can joke about Pam Bondi’s ridiculous unprofessionalism all you want, but I’m deeply shocked by it: She acts as if she fears absolutely no consequences, convinced that there will be no more political power transfers. — This should shake everyone to their core.
