Out of all the slight upheavals in life that have happened to me this year, (industry-job change, having to move quite suddenly, etc) the most unexpected so far has been the "felt something for someone in the romantic sense after X+ years"? Pretty unsettling but also tiring in ways.

Terrible but at the same time glorious to finally spend a Saturday mostly in bed and listening to the latest music I am obsessed with on loop.

Decided that I'm going to ignore all non crucial (absolutely nothing I do is that earth-shattering or people will die) emails or texts from clients during the weekends.

My current dilemma with getting a specific 繁體 e-reader versus a tablet is generally because I'm a bit wary of being stuck on one platform when Readmoo讀墨, Book walker, 博客來 exists...

Really feeling the age today when the discussion today with friends centred around how tough it's become to read manga because of how small the print has become for us...

being so ridiculously busy at work that time flies is good to an extent. a lot less errant thoughts in my mind. what becomes less great is not having the time or energy to do any other stuff. the only hobby i had for these past months was reading gl web novels on the subway to and from work...

fascinating today to really see the disparity of the affluent enough to avoid public transport totally versus a plebeian like myself who is dependent on it.

it's a really weird thing. have a friend who's married to a japanese person and been there for over a decade but still constantly uses it in conversation. we've had this debate forever but they insist their partner and people around don't think it's a slur and just keep using it.

#30 Bookshops & Bonedust by by Travis Baldree. The sequel and prequel to Legends & Lattes which centered about a book stores (another object close to my heart) and it was a really lovely and chill read on the train to and fro work. Looking forward to the next in the series!

Looks like it's hit the year where all my stuff starts to break down? The luggage and daily carry bag were showing signs of wear and breakage during my recent trip but this week, my three year old mobile phone without warning, just went black and died on me too...

the whole shtick of "everything that can go wrong must go wrong" seems really intent on swiftly wrecking up my post-vacation chill afterglow.

Been a weird week receiving not so great news from different friends. Ended up spending most of it working from home due to a weird cough-cold but there's just still so much fatigue. Know it's likely just the illness, but work and life just feels extremely frustrating and bleak.

Was feeling a wee bit overwhelmed and also like a-soon-to-be-hit by-an-asteroid-dinosaur whilst trying to learn and work some automation stuff at work and decided to practice this weekend at home only to be frustrated by being unable to get the formatting right...

feel extremely weird as the main person peeved about younger workmate being late to presentation meetings with clients. is this some new acceptable bar of behaviour? to saunter in late without an apology or explanation? also apparently regular behaviour for said person and it's just shrugged off?

been trying to see if i can do a decent tasting orange americano with instant coffee and normal orange juice but perhaps i need further testing...
