The sort of argument my high schooler makes for not doing chores.

It's like LLMs in the past few months realized that little reprexes are cool, but people aren't realizing that and just going with the fake code. Can't wait for this to inevitably make it into published stuff.

After giving estimated attendance and and preferred time, it is conference staff that sets all session locations, trying to take it all into account. Inevitably, someone sessions end up the extant locations - that is part of the conference center rental and some sessions must end up there.

We can make a recommendation on day/time and are warned that popular times are hard to schedule (e.g. first day, midday). Early morning times can mean low attendance. Same on popular competing sessions. Or there can be surprise high interest.

My experience in this: It's often session organizers (e.g. academics) who make a guess on session attendance. That has to be done months in advance, before the session is scheduled or there is even a sense of the number of registrants. We are told not to over or underestimate.
