My Garmin data for this morning’s run.
Most pleased with my even pace over the 5k’s.
Easy Run this morning, I ran a bit faster than Runna suggested for my ‘plan’ but as I’ve got fitter I find my ‘conversational pace’ is a little quicker. I relaxed this morning and didn’t look at my watch so much and thought more about my form.
W1D2 completed of my #HalfMarathon #Running plan.

We did French from Senior 1 and I did it at O-Level, but we also did Spanish in Senior 3 with the option to study it at O-Level if you wanted to. My school didn’t do German.

Funding for Gifted & Talented Education was cut under the previous Labour government… education has been chronically underfunded for decades.
All children deserve a good education, and teachers need better pay & conditions along with the tools to deliver on what’s needed.

I think my old school was one of the few that taught Spanish as well as French. I did it for a year in Senior 3, whatever that is in new money, and I can remember Mr Langstaff our teacher it made more sense to learn than French.
I’d probably want to learn Chinese now if it was an option.

Timbers from 17th Century shipwreck appear on Dorset beach
Experts believe timbers found at Studland Beach form a missing piece of the Swash Channel wreck from 1631.
And in other news, thanks to Storm Chandra, our colleagues from @bournemouthuni.bsky.social Maritime Archaeology have found a part of the Fame of Hoorn, an armed Dutch merchant ship that sank in 1631

The next cabinet secretary | Institute for Government
What lies ahead for the UK's new top civil servant.
Sounds like Cabinet Secretary is departing. If that is the case, some of details in this may have changed, but the overarching challenges for a new Cab Sec remain the same.
Which itself tells a story.

Well, one thing is clear! I need to work on my core stability. It was good fun, and it’s only day 1 of week 1. So I knew that I needed to work on my strength so that’s why I added the sessions to my plan. I’ll know if it’s worked in 16 weeks time. 😉😆
And coming up with exercises that are better for older people might be a good suggestion for the team at Runna. 🤣
