I will give Bowling for Soup a past for being the only band with a nice guy song honest enough to admit "all I wanted was to see her naked".

No amnesty for murderers of poor old working class

03.08.2025 22:12 â đ 3 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0Oh, yeah, Art Brut. (I genuinely think that young men would be better off listening to the "I just had sex and it was a bit awkward but great!" bands). Rather than the nice guyism of a lot of Weazer, Wheatus etc. And The Wedding Present were only experts in getting dumped and being mopey about it.

Have you considered transmitting the advice in the shape of a song?

Has there ever been an indie boy band hornier than James?

I enjoy playing the games of my youth. I do not miss loading a casette for 10 minutes only for it to crash at the end of the loading time.
03.08.2025 19:32 â đ 3 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0I'm not especially interested in Draw Steel (we have high fantasy tactical skirmish games at home). But I really don't think that $70 for three lengthy corebooks with extensive colour art is an unreasonable pricepoint for PDFs.
03.08.2025 16:15 â đ 1 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0Also don't fuck up good friendships because you get rejected. The friendship will likely last longer than any relationship anyway, especially in your twenties.
03.08.2025 15:47 â đ 6 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0Making fun of onetruewayists is always a good thing.
03.08.2025 15:45 â đ 3 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0Obviously I don't *actually* belive this.
I do however believe that "All RPGs are about story" is the most dominant form of onetruewayism we see in the hobby today and it's proponents should be treated with the same mocking contempt we treating OSR people whining about new RPG players being "weak"
It's very noticable that the friends I made through roleplaying at uni I'm still frequently in contact with where the friends I made by taking drugs and going to indie clubs have almost all fallen by the wayside.
03.08.2025 14:21 â đ 2 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0What role are you taking on when you write a guided book together? The role of yourself writing a book?
It's a table top ROLEPLAYING game, yeah? Not a "tabletop writing a book game".
Prioritising narrative over simulationism in RPGs is anti intellectualism send post.

03.08.2025 13:01 â đ 5 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0Our enemies would have us believe that we have no tradition of activism to draw from and that all struggles arrive from nowhere and are disconnected from each other.
03.08.2025 12:37 â đ 2 đ 2 đŹ 0 đ 0Led to a meeting between local Anti Fascist Action and the Pink Panther people where contacts were made and we worked together on some stuff after that. (The SWP/ANL ignoed them, ofc.).
Pink Panther were a tiny group of activists in Brum but I think it's important we remember groups like that.
Pink Panther's big political impact was the open letter they wrote to the anti fascist movement accusing us (entirely fairly) of not working with the LGBT community enough.
03.08.2025 12:37 â đ 2 đ 0 đŹ 1 đ 0Supported by "Birmingham Pink Panther" although enough time has passed that I can safely say that was basically just Punk Dave, whoever he was dating at the time and whoever he could drag along to help him sell the fanzine.
03.08.2025 12:30 â đ 0 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 1Historical note. While "Bash Back" were originally USA, there's also the largely (and sadly) forgotten "Queers Bash Back" from the UK, early to mid 90s. Mostly Manchester based. Some crossover with local Class War and the Homocult network I think.
03.08.2025 12:30 â đ 0 đ 1 đŹ 1 đ 0You can do that in Campaign for North Africa. (This is not a recommendation post).
03.08.2025 12:17 â đ 0 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0I think we should be fair. M-rated Crazy Taxi with an absolutely fantastic soundtrack in the case of Vice City.
03.08.2025 12:02 â đ 14 đ 0 đŹ 2 đ 0Unconditional support for this action. Laser focused in terms of targetting, didn't negatively affect the local community, competently implemented. Textbook "how to direct action".
p.s. A bit of paint and a few smashed windows isn't violence and never will be.
My understanding is they promised they would then didn't.
02.08.2025 22:11 â đ 1 đ 0 đŹ 2 đ 0Because I have more unhinged opinions than likes can represent.

For goodness sake, just admit to yourself you want to play 40k and get yourself a squad.
Is Marc Millar still a thing? Blimey.
02.08.2025 20:56 â đ 0 đ 0 đŹ 0 đ 0True, but how much content is contained in those? Tropico 3 had DLC which had an entire new campaign, set of edicts, around 12 new buildings and an outfit. Modern Tropico DLC is generally a single mission and building, maybe an outfit.
02.08.2025 19:23 â đ 0 đ 0 đŹ 1 đ 0Also, why is 2000 the only metric?
Ghostbusters (licensed tie in with the movie, 1984) on the ZX Spectrum was ÂŁ9.99. ÂŁ32 in today's money. So AAA game prices have more than doubled if we compare them to the original home computers..
However there wasn't the same amount of DLC (some expansion packs, generally much more, well, expansive), pre order bonuses, microtransactions etc. So while I agree $85 is a fair price for a game, only if it's a game where that stuff comes with it. 25 years ago games were more like GOTY editions.
