Trump’s Anti-Green Agenda Could Lead to 1.3 Million More Climate Deaths. The Poorest Countries Will Be Impacted Most. Most of the people expected to suffer these temperature-related deaths live in poor countries in Africa and South Asia that are least prepared to cope with the increasing heat from climate change.

CLIMATE CHANGE: We tried to figure out how many people are expected to die as a result of Trump’s anti-green agenda: As many as 1.3 million. The latest from @propublica.org's @fastlerner.bsky.social www.propublica.org/article/trum... www.propublica.org/article/trum...

The Trump administration has announced plans to roll back critical protections under the Clean Water Act, a law that has safeguarded America’s waters for more than 50 years. This proposal would strip protections from countless bodies of water.

This bar chart shows a decrease in mentions of 'climate' since a peak in August 2022, when Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act.

This bar chart shows a decrease in mentions of 'climate' since a peak in August 2022, when Congress passed the Inflation Reduction Act.

The Post (me and @kcrowebasspro.bsky.social) analyzed the social media posts and appearances of prominent politicians across the country.

We found that no one is talking about climate change anymore. In 2025, mentions are 60% lower than in 2024.

Our nation's federal employees are more than just numbers on a spreadsheet.

They make sure we have clean water.

They protect us from financial fraud.

They provide healthcare to our communities.

They make our government actually work for people.

Do not forget this.

Federal employees, you are amazing. You’re abused, harassed, used as pawns. Yet everyday you continue to serve the Nation with dedication and excellence. Thank you. Be strong.

Contractors, you have been with us every step of the way. You are also wonderful and appreciated. Thank you.

A primer on what the high seas treaty is and how it will work The approval of a high seas treaty means new protections will be possible for international waters for the first time.

A good, short primer on what the Agreement on Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction means and what comes next.

The US has signed, but yet ratified the treaty. Ratification requires a 2/3 votes in the to the US Senate. Add ratification of the High Seas Treaty to your regular constituent call.
