End Ex-PM Benefits For Boris Johnson Following Covid Inquiry Verdict
The verdict of the Covid Inquiry is clear: Boris Johnson's negligence led to thousands of deaths.
Yet last year, the public was forced to pay Johnson £115k in 'ex-PM' benefits.

Boris Johnson can moan & whine, accuse us of ‘wangling on’ about deaths, & try to re-write history, but there’s no way back from this:

It’s a sign of how insane the news cycle is these days that this historic failure of government policy got just one day of news coverage this week.
Not saying that’s right or wrong, but it’s astonishing how quickly the agenda moves on these days.

I’ll never forget the horror of the Covid wards | The Observer
"instead of confronting the hard questions Baroness Hallett directs at his leadership, Boris Johnson has instead devoted his column in this weekend’s Daily Mail to an artful concoction of smearing, distraction and airy British boosterism."

End Publicly Funded Privileges For Boris Johnson Following Covid Inquiry
Unfortunately there currently isn't a mechanism by which he can be prosecuted for misconduct in public office. But you can sign this petition demanding that he doesn't benefit from the public purse:

Disrespectful to the bereaved, and indeed all those Johnson let down, to respond to the Covid Inquiry's M2 report in a footnote to his column. This man should never be allowed to hold public office again, and certainly should not be benefitting from the public purse.

My father died in April 2020.
I hold Boris Johnson personally responsible for his death, along with thousands of others.
All his ex-PM privileges should be removed, including £115k he can claim every year.

Boris Johnson’s silence is deafening, and his contempt for the bereaved is clear.
His actions during the pandemic amount to one of the gravest betrayals of the British public in history.
His decisions cost tens of thousands of lives that could and should have been saved.

My Dad escaped the Nazis in 1939 on the Kindertransport.
He went to night school then University, trained as a physicist. Married my mum, brought up 3 kids, all work in public sector.
Under these proposed rules, he would have been deported.

I know that Covid vax costs the nhs much less, so there's something very wrong with the system.

Not holding my breath, given how Covid Inquiry chair behaved towards Johnson, Hancock et al when they gave evidence. We must not forget what happened, and we must understand what went wrong in order to prevent the same mistakes being made again. My dad would not have died had gov made better choices

It makes me so angry, and it makes no sense. I ended up paying for a Covid vax privately, but it's so expensive and many can't afford that. The UK is out of step with other countries, and clearly hasn't learned anything.

Four years after we created the Covid Memorial Wall in a guerrilla action born out of grief and determination, the Government has now announced it will be made permanent.
This is a powerful step towards ensuring our loved ones are never forgotten.

We’ve formally written to the Honours Committee calling for Baroness Mone to be stripped of her OBE.
No one who profited from unusable PPE while people died without protection should hold an honour.
It's in the Government's power to make this happen. They must act now.

At the Inquiry yesterday, Boris Johnson was asked if the Government prioritised the economy over vulnerable children with Eat Out to Help Out.
He dodged the question, claiming nobody knows what impact social contact had on the spread of Covid.
As shameless as ever.

Covid Inquiry uncovers ‘forgotten’ children left disabled by Long Covid
Long Covid Kids supports 7,000 children whose parents say they have been 'gas lit' by NHS, schools and social services, as the inquiry uncovered pandemic-era advice against diagnosing the condition
Harbinder said: “The whole focus has been on a few months of lost learning. My children haven’t been well enough to go back to school for the last three years. We are not even on the radar. It’s almost as if we don’t exist.”

Pharmacies facing angry patients over Covid jab confusion
Up to half of patients coming to some pharmacies are being turned away because they are not eligible.
Unsurprising.
Can anyone explain why JCVI recommendations for #covid booster this autumn different from Canada’s where 65+ & health & care staff still eligible unlike in NHS?
