Radiation update: it begins 10/10 and will continue through 10/30, 5 times per week (M-F) an hour drive each direction (to/from). Did I mention how much I hate this?

I'm going to do the radiation. More details to come on that, but on another note... one down, two to go! Go Eags!

Surgery went well, or so they tell me. I don't remember. I'm sore, but healing. Heading to spokane area tomorrow for my daughter's freshman orientation at EWU. Go eagles?

Surgery tomorrow to remove my remaining lymph nodes.
The chemo groundhog peeked it's head out but was scared by his own shadow... this means 14 more cycles (42 weeks) of chemo with a possible side of radiation.
I'm feeling a little beaten down today.

Well, we finally got back the pathology of all the junk they removed during surgery. Breast - completely clear, lymph nodes 2 & 3 - clear, stupid lymph node 1 (the tagged one) - still has cancer ( Womp womp)

Day 3 post surgery: my sleep schedule is off, but I'm mostly not in pain. Range of motion is horrible, but that was to be expected.

I survived. I'm down one tit, but I'm alive.

I'm at the hospital waiting to check in. Is it too late to back out?

In less than 12 hours I will be at the hospital getting prepped for surgery. So I'm crocheting a prosthetic to help me cope with my loss.

PET scan says "no discernable lesson"... Sounds like chemo worked... will confirm with surgeon tomorrow.

Saying goodbye to my AVID babies is tough. These students have been with me for 4 years 😭😭

Rolling up to my final chemo appointment. It seems like forever that went by in the blink of an eye.

Sitting for treatment 5 of 6. Stayed on schedule so far. Now I just have to convince the surgeon that my surgery date will be June 27th. I hope she buys it.

Waiting at the doctor's office, all the games I saved to play have been played. I just wish they ran on time.

Well, I'm still plodding along, very slowly. Got to celebrate some great seniors at the track senior recognition today. I'm going to miss my AVID 2025 cohort.

Treatment #4 done. 67% complete.

Cycle 3 has been more difficult than any of the others that have come before. I'm hoping it doesn't continue to get worse before it gets better.

Just a few more minutes and I'll be half way done with chemo!!

Busy day. Had to sign refinance papers for the truck, 8th grade elective night, and an orchestra concert. Made it on time to see my darling daughter perform. Way to busy for a school night. I want to sleep for 3 days.

Made it through conferences this week. I'm just struggling to comprehend how with all that I have going on in life, I still seem to care about my students more that others in similar positions.
