I had a great time at the Co-production and Participatory Research Showcase at City St George’s. It brought together inspiring researchers from across law, education, and health & medical sciences, all who care about the communities they conduct their research with.

Access to appropriate services can be life-changing, sometimes life-saving.
As an older, disabled #Autistic person who is increasingly reliant on #health and #SocialCare it’s encouraging to see contextual factors that hinder/support #neuro-affirming practice being explored.

I’m incredibly honoured to be an invited speaker at #ASMIRT26 in Tasmania next March. It’ll be my first time in Australia. I’m so grateful for the chance to share my research and contribute to such a major international event. Thank you to the Scientific Committee!

I just wouldn’t have the nerve to advertise that. I completely understand how difficult it is to get funding for co-production or including experts by experience, but I wouldn’t ask for people until I had that funding in place. It’s disrespectful.

Treatments that are not recommended for autism Find out about treatments that are not recommended for autism and treatments that could be harmful.

Fake "treatments" for autism that you should avoid include chelation, supplements, bleach, and raw camel's milk.

Remember: Autism is where your brain develops differently to non-autistic people. It is not an illness, so what autistic people need are supports, not a cure:
