03.10.2025 20:26 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Having a lovely time at Ty Newydd, Literature Wales's writing centre in Llanystumdwy, Gwynedd. Lovely tutees, lovely fellow tutor @vaseemkhanuk.bsky.social & beautiful surroundings. This is the path down to the most important part of the whole centre - the kitchen and hall where everything happens!

26.09.2025 08:28 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Noooo! Editing's the best bit! (Though not copy editing. Or proof editing. They suck.) Best of luck with it, Charlotte, x
25.09.2025 10:38 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Great time in Bath @mrbsemporium.bsky.social yesterday when I dropped in with a proof of The Hunters Club and was asked to contribute to their display of authors' pens hanging from the ceiling. If you're in Bath, do pay Mr B's a visit - the booksellers are friendly and incredibly knowledgeable!

13.08.2025 13:10 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0In-between the review books, I've been reading @alishawkinsauthor.bsky.social first Oxford mystery.
A most intriguing story with fascinating characters that kept me guessing until the end.
I've really enjoyed it and now must get my skates on as book three comes out in October! ๐

And while I was there, it would have been rude not to offer Helen a proof copy of The Hunters Club, wouldn't it?
I had a great time talking to the lovely Robert Kirkwood for the the audiobook show Read On. We talked about about writing, my visually impaired protagonist in the Teifi Valley Coroner books, the Skeleton Army vs. the Salvation Army in 1882 Oxford, my writing method, and three very important books.

Easy answer PLEASE BE IN TOUCH!!

Glorious time chairing an event with @fflurdafydd.bsky.social and Caryl Lewis last night at Bookish bookshop in Crickhowell. The House of Water and Bitter Honey are two of the most beautiful, emotionally charged and page-turning books you're likely to read this year.

Huge thanks to Gloucestershire Libraries for working together with Crime Cymru to put on these events in the Forest of Dean for National Crime Reading Month.
@rhianejones.bsky.social is inciting this meeting to rebellion and @alishawkinsauthor.bsky.social is helping her with some gusto!
You'll hear us coming out of the darkness, just like the Rebecca Rioters.
Thank you for a stirring session, both - and to Harrisons Solicitors for sponsoring.
Music to an author's ears! Hope you enjoy it, Cavan (and I hope you're feeling better really soon).
