AOC defeating crowley, bowman defeating engel, the popularity of the sanders run in the first place, you could go down a whole list of things that *should* have made some impact on the party's thinking, but none of it affects leadership's position. instead of getting afraid, they just get angry.

one of the big struggles here, imo, is that the dems priority on seniority - and the fact that you need to be in unlosable districts to get to seniority - means that no amount of losses, primaries, or poll shifts affects the people in *charge* of the party. no matter what happens, they remain.
