Ooh, beautiful! I love all the drawing competitions there are for kids on Orkney. And yes, definitely! Spent a while in there looking around and reading. It has a fab layout and feels very welcoming. I miss having a library nearby!

I think I’ve seen their posts before but it must have been on a different social media network because I only joined this one recently. I’m definitely following on here now! It’s absolutely fab! I hope I can get the chance to visit in person before I leave. I miss my favourite library since moving.

Not yet! Will almost certainly nip into Kirkwall again before I go (dozen or so postcards need stamps for a start! 😁) so will try to pop in then. Thanks for the suggestion!

Thanks, I will! It really is. I’m lucky I have (lovely!) family that I can stay with on Orkney. I’ve not been since I left the U.K. but I am looking forward to visiting the Neolithic sites again and seeing the gorgeous nature - and doing a book signing event while I’m there is the icing on the cake.

Looking forward to visiting Orkney next month. It’s a bit expensive to get to but so worth it if you can. 🥰 (plus good inspiration for writing!)

I found that book so exciting as a kid! The setting was really vivid and atmospheric. There was a great audio dramatisation of it too that I listened to so many times.

Beautiful vibrant colours as always. I love the patterns and how the background is so detailed yet not distracting at all.
