14.09.2025 10:01 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0The internet doesn't have many hi-res images of what is possibly the only image of Steller's sea cow drawn from life (itself a copy of a now-lost sketch), so I'm uploading this version from Stejneger (1936). Very sad that this simple graphic represents the total in vivo art record for this speies.

The mammoth tooth on a set of scales, reading 2790 grams
About half(?) of a mammoth Molar! This has been in my family for quite some time, found some time between 1970-1980 on West Runton Beach in Norfolk, wondering if anyone would know how to figure out how old it is.
Weighs 2.79kg
21cm tall, 15cm long and 7cm wide.
Those models are just amazing oh my
28.08.2025 20:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A large panorama illustration of four separate forest habitats separated my thin white areas. It features numerous different kinds of trees and undergrowth. The first habitat is a brackish coastal area, the second a peat bog, third a floodplain forest, and the fourth a non-waterlogged mixed forest with meadows. #SciArt
Some 40 million years ago, northern Europe was covered by what is known as the Baltic Amber Forest, now known only from pieces of amber found on the coastline.
An illustration from my recent article in the magazine Suomen Luonto, based on research by Dr. Eva-Maria Sadowski.

My Proceratosaurus bradleyi puppet!! Hopefully will be walking around a bit with this at Dinocon!

15.08.2025 08:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0A render of a digital 3D model of three dinosaurs, one is a male with a large red crest and red bands along its tail, one is a female with a reduced grey-tan crest and a darker brown body and one is a baby with much lighter colouration on its body and a tiny crest. There is text at the top right reading: "Proceratosaurus bradleyi, a medium sized theropod dinosaur from the Middle Jurassic of England"
A render of a couple of Proceratosaurus bradleyi which I am working on for a project.

A mysterious dinosaur with a crest on its head and a glowing eye. Its mouth is open and it is looking up with its body tilted out. The background is heavily static and blurred with some trees barely visible.
Thought I would post a little teaser of some things I've got in the works...
can you guess the dinosaur?
This is gorgeousss!!
