Over the years, I’ve done lots of research on how to address people in fics and how to understandably convey the idea of Korean social hierarchies through English writing, so I thought I could share my list of examples, ranging from common to very specific.

The most common struggle I see in fics is how to punctuate dialogue tags correctly, so remember:

"Hi," she said. ✅️
"Hi." She said. 🚫

"Hi," she said and pouted. ✅️
"Hi," she pouted. 🚫
"Hi." She pouted. ✅️

When this is done right, the story is so much easier to read.
