My poem "Deserted Posts" in issue 3 of The Candayman's Trumpet, speaking to the importance of in-person oral storytelling.

Hugs if wanted, friend.

I'm twitchy about certain things too. In terms of visual media, I love the content warning database Does The Dog Die, so that I can get a heads up on anything that might impact me.

Wishing you a gentle Tuesday.

Reach Out Your Hand: On Finding the Courage to Ask for Help - Let's Talk About Loss Casey writes a blog all about asking for help and support as a disabled young griever, for Disability Pride Month

Navigating the world of grief support is difficult, but doing so as a person with a #disability has extra layers.

I'm grateful to Let's Talk About Loss for providing a platform for an article that has been brewing for some time.

Reflections on the role of poetry As I await the opportunity to share my latest published work, I want to share a piece that I rediscovered recently…with a few adjustments.

This essay I wrote in 2020 is the closest I have come to a mission statement.

Realising that it was no longer available online made me sad, so I fixed it and rehomed it on Substack.

Thank you for finding the words.

Grief blossoms into poetry eventually, but it's hard to find the words when you're in it.

Holy wow...reading this a couple of weeks after creating a playlist of songs I associate with a departed friend.

Beautifully written.

I'm so sorry for your loss.

Trying new music might be helpful in the longer term, even if it feels difficult at first.

I've found the Spotify daylist and radio features (if you want something based on a particular song) to be quite helpful.

I still get the songs I can tolerate, plus new stuff.

Making Room for Music On rebuilding a relationship with a creative constant.

In the process of learning to live alongside loss, my relationship with music changed drastically.

It took me a long time to recognise that as another form of loss.

It is a sign of the continuing degradation of our discourse that Zuckerberg’s argument - we will make up for your friendship deficit by deploying chatbots - is not met by the deafening sound of every living human being who is able to understand his words laughing derisively
