VRChat exists and like fulfilled a similar role but I find something about it to be really intimidating, but I am also an anxious person. Text chat is a really nice sweet spot.

Theres something really wonderful and comfortable about getting to engage with people in this vicarious manner. It’s always super neat to find out you have something in common with others in such spaces, and hope that you may one day see each other there again.

I think its something really important that we lost. I grew up on the tail end of its existence but like I still had similar types of experiences with like club penguin and old tight knit minecraft servers.
