I agree that this is not good “health” media. But what they are also not writing about is that many patients and healthcare providers support an improved Medicare for all. Universal healthcare for everyone. For profit healthcare is flawed in so many ways and patients and providers know it.

Both "religious" institutions and our "political" parties can run amok when they lose sight of their fundamental guiding principles. Shared humanity, core spirituality, common decency, the "Golden Rule", gerrymandering, "Citizen's United", and complicity with the denigration of our constitution.

Agree. This is so fundamental to having a true representative government and a true democracy. Overturn Citizens United, end gerrymandering, and nationwide election reform. Our elected officials need to be responsive to the electorate and not big donors. Political parties also need some reforms.

Yes... reverse Citizen United, end gerrymandering, make needed election reforms, and have a true representative government; then the collective humanity of our true democracy can demand humane foreign and domestic social policies that will improve all our lives. No human is illegal or undervalued.

We need the press speaking truth to power in support of our democracy (and not just have "hissy fits" with republicans or democrats). Encourage a coalition of citizens in support of overturning Citizen United, ending gerrymandering, adhering to our constitution, and a true representative government.

This is just a reminder how brave this coalition of citizens are. Realizing that our constitution is being ignored, our civil rights trampled, due process and the rule of low bypassed, and corruption running amok; citizens that share a love for our democracy are taking personal risk to resist.

This crisis of our democracy has exposed the Democratic Party Institution as not much better than the Republicans. Both holding only 30% of the electorate, funded by the elite class, and blind to (or ignoring) the majority of us seeking meaningful change in our country. Election reform needed ASAP.

I think as part of this movement we should start a vision for a more perfect union. Support candidates that will reverse citizens united and end gerrymandering (and maybe are supported by small donors) because now both parties are funded by the elite and we do not have a representative government.

That is so on point. No party bickering because with each party only having about 30% of the electorate our messaging needs to be more far reaching. The Democrats lost the messaging war and enough of the remaining 40% put Trump in office. We need a larger sustainable coalition to right this ship.

I agree with some others here. For as many of us as possible… time for some socially conscious spending (boycott). These companies are complicit in the destruction of our democracy, our rule of law, and are just interested in profits over people. Let’s speak their language by affecting their profits

Just a FYI: Mayo Clinic cancelled their yearly medical CME course on gender affirming care this year and just now I learned Harvard just canceled their course that was starting on Oct 24th. These institutions are not standing up against the censorship of their medical education. Keep up the fight.

Lets not miss the forest from the tree. This person is giving us ideas on how to message to everyone who wishes our country to be governed by our constitution and laws and gives them permission to join us. If we can re-establish a true representative government we can the freely debate policies.

Please remember… the democrats only make up 30% of voters and the republicans 30%. To really effect meaningful change we have to appeal to the other 40% with a shared vision of the democracy we wish to achieve. Stress these shared values and avoid partisan fights. We need everyone in this fight.

I agree and would add humane domestic and foreign policies, fair elections and true representative government, fair taxation, universal health care for all, ethical oversight of social media, A.I., and gun control for our children's safety, women's reproductive rights, and release the Epstein files.

This is a nice post. It shows that many of us, not knowing anything about our background and place in life and politics, do have many shared values that we can all demand from our (hopefully) representative government, and join together at this moment to get back on track. Lots of people are really seeing the forest thru the trees here. We spend the highest amount per capital in healthcare but we rank last in health outcome. There is about a 400-500 billion/yr savings between the administrative cost of Medicare compared to private insurance. We can cover everyone!!

I really hope the suffering will end. We must acknowledge that two truth occurred. It was wrong for Israel to have been attacked. But that did not justify the genocide that followed with excessive suffering, lost of countless innocent lives, and starvation. This went far beyond an "eye for a eye".

I think we all need to be concern about the climate impact of these data centers. We need a reliable watchdog organization that can inform us consumers of where our data and AI product resources are coming from and how climate responsible those centers are. We can then decide on how we utilize them.

We need more of this...every sector of our society to speak truth to power. Disbar unethical lawyers, socially conscious spending or boycotting those that align with the dismantling of our democracy, uncensored universities and media, fair elections, and justice for the Epstein victims.
