I’m re-reading @susandblum.bsky.social’s Ungrading.

It shaped some of my practices, but more my thinking. With the addition LMM/AI, I’m ready for a sequel by the same or different authors.

I need remote thought partners. I process by reading and writing.

Just read this gem from @blakeharvard.bsky.social! I offer choice summer PD for my team of IB teachers and this will be on this year’s list.

This body of knowledge isn’t taught at most SOE. Looking forward to using this tool to incrementally shape the culture of learning in classrooms at my school.

My feedback from tech free workshops, is always, yes always, better than with tech. While based on participant self-score, my post survey(at 1 week and 1 month).

Other artifacts of community, reflection, metacognition, and belonging also look very different.

Just led a full day workshop on rubrics and mark bands. Early in the day we separated grading from assessment.

I thought of some of our ongoing discussions (and the comment referenced in the blog past) as I planned out the day.

While critical windows have different contexts, this iterative process is challenging in school. The cognitive load of doing this work as an adult with a family and full time job will be overwhelming, as well as impossible.

I’m reviewing types of data (nominal, ordinal, ratio, etc) so we can then do some application and practice selecting inferential stats tests.

Round two of spaced practice. Concepts have been taught, now we need to give them the language/vocab.
