We’ve switched to the Femto Mega now which is basically the 4th iteration of the Kinect and can do data and power over Ethernet.

It also does the data processing onboard the device which means less load on your PC gpu.

Really nice to be included in this @theguardian.com article on the history of the #Kinect. Crazy that it’s been 15 years since it first came out.
