I think my brain is struggling to reconcile the fact of "shadows don't stack" (with a singular light source) with the fact that shadows still can vary in intensity depending on various factors.

and sometimes it does LOOK like shadow stacking even if it isn't. ourgh

How is this the fundamental that's one of the first things you learn and I still keep learning new things about it lmao

I'm ngl value management of contact shadows keeps tripping me up. I think I need to review shading again

TY I highly recommend practicing on paper/limiting yourself to Just The Vanishing Point on digital... (so drawing a few perspective lines whenever necessary)

somehow when I hopped off pre-drawn persp grids to practice it kinda clicked for me better

u might be doing that already tho idk...

i rawdogged the perspective without a grid and i'm not gonna lie, it came out pretty good

something about the way the greater coverts don't really follow the shape of the flights kinda trips me up
