Music channel The Box got in on the action, but much like Fresh/Big hits range, the CDs were slightly ahead of itself; Hits from late 1997 on a compilation labelled '98' - sneaky.

"Shine" was a range of Britpop/Indie compilations which started back in 95ish and peaked here in 1997, they managed to get up to Shine 10. Eels & Rialto were on heavy rotation for me.

While NOW conquered the Pop-Comp scene, these Big Hits/FreshHits/NewHit etc. CDs came close 2nd as they had stuff not featured on NOW. This was my first purchase.
