For example, a nursing home magnate who withheld $38 million in payroll taxes was prosecuted by Trump’s Justice Department, with Trump’s former personal-lawyer-turned-US-Attorney Alina Habba claiming credit. After giving almost $1 million to lobbyists, the magnate was out after three months of his three year sentence. The lobbyists in question, Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, became infamous for their laundering of conspiracy theories during Trump’s first term, and were subsequently convicted in multiple states for voter suppression efforts.
While researching this piece on Trump pardons, rediscovered what some season 1 characters are up to now.
For Jack Burkman and Jacob Wohl, they have shrugged off their voter suppression convictions and are now selling Trump pardons for $1 million.

What they say:
-We are at war with "narcoterrorists"! To prove it, we will murder people on boats!
What they do:
-Pardon convicted drug trafficker who facilitated 500 tons of cocaine being smuggled to the US
-Cut drug crime prosecutions to their lowest level in 25 years

@PeteHegseth on X: Let’s make one thing crystal clear: Admiral Mitch Bradley is an American hero, a true professional, and has my 100% support. I stand by him and the combat decisions he has made — on the September 2 mission and all others since. America is fortunate to have such men protecting us. When this @DeptofWar says we have the back of our warriors — we mean it. 01 Dec 25
Hegseth is very transparently blaming a Navy admiral for his own decision. Let this be a lesson for every other military officer: The Trump administration will issue unlawful orders, then blame you for following them.

He gets a full presidential pardon.
Both are Honduran. Only one is a criminal.
Reminder that shortly after ordering these strikes, Hegseth removed the press corps from the Pentagon and the SouthCom Commander overseeing operations in the Caribbean unexpectedly announced he is stepping down 2 yrs before his term is up. What we are seeing is just the tip of the iceberg.

How can any one who abhors the oppression of negroes, be in favor or degrading classes of white people? Our progress in degeneracy appears to me to be pretty rapid. As a nation, we began by declaring that "all men are created equal." We now practically read it "all men are created equal, except negroes" When the Know-Nothings get control, it will read "all men are created equal, except negroes, and foreigners, and Catholics." When it comes to this I should prefer emigrating to some country where they make no pretence of loving liberty -- to Russia, for instance, where despotism can be taken pure, and without the base alloy of hypocracy [sic].
