Because everywhere else in the world where advances have reduced traffic deaths, serious injuries have gone up. Stands to reason, what would have been a death becomes a serious injury instead.

State neutrality is not a weakness but a great strength.
Ireland should strengthen its neutrality to become a world leader in:
Peacekeeping, Humanitarian Aid,
Medical Care,
Disaster Relief,
Arbitration, and
Refuge.

According to Google, and the official Green Party website, 'the organisation has 12 TDs.'
According to the official 2024 election results there is one Green Party TD.
Honesty, transparency and integrity?๐ค

FF & FG always come down on the side of industry.
They don't know what their job is. Or they know & deliberately ignore it.
'Government of the people by the people for the people.'
Industry is an important part of the nation. However, government is first and foremost for the people, not industry.

No doubt calculated on the artificially inflated Irish 'GDP' due to the tax haven profit laundering by all the multinationals.

Famine in Gaza is man-made.
The Irish Government must take action.
All Ireland understands the suffering of deliberate man-made famine.

I'm sorry again.
Dealing in cash is tax avoidance.
Many countries have gone fully digital to reduce avoidance.
As for generalisations, sadly that's been my life experience in 3 different countries, including the recent example of the lawyer here in Mayo.
Digital should be an OPTION.๐โโ๏ธ๐
Businesses have an obligation to pay their taxes, AND to pass on taxes that customers have paid to them.
Businesses are also obliged to trade legally. Tax avoidance is illegal.
No business has a right to deny digital.
How can you say you lean Left while advocating tax avoidance?๐โโ๏ธ๐
#efficiency
Oh, I'm sorry I've misunderstood.
'I could not disagree' to me means 'I agree completely'.
Not dis-agree = I agree.
Example
Lawyer's quote โฌ200. When I produced my card was told I'd have to pay โฌ223 or come back with cash.
So a law firm promoting tax avoidance.
No avoidance Apple or Jo Blow.
98% of business in Sweden is digital.
In Australia it's over 90%.
Ireland 'hopes to be 45% digital by the end of 2025'.
I am NOT saying, as Sweden has, abolish cash. But I am saying all businesses must offer digital as an option.
If we all pay our taxes, taxes could be lower. OR better services.
Small hospitality definitely price gauges by dealing almost exclusively in cash and not passing on taxpayers taxes.
I've got nothing against cash but the Government must also insist every business also make digital payment available to customers.
If not, the Government's encouraging tax avoidance.
Why does the Irish Government regulate wages but not prices?
How are people expected to live when their income is restricted but their expenses keep increasing unchecked?
It's unfair and unjust.

FF FG continue to cut public services instead of providing them.
With Ireland's massive GDP we should have world class everything - health, housing, education, transport and communication.
Given the Government does so little, where does all the public's money go?
#irishpol
With FF FG it's worse than that. They simply don't govern.
So many serious problems, now & in future years, but they do nothing, while the country falls into ruin & the poverty gap widens.
Spend on welfare is 12% of GDP. EU average is 26.9%.
Ireland's welfare spend is less than half EU average.
No. In fact the opposite. In response to a recent report detailing the mess & damage to Ireland's inland waterways the Government has amended legislation to exclude waterways from the environment Act. So they don't have to DO anything as usual, except destroy the environment for others to fix later.
24.07.2025 10:05 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0The welfare spend as a % of GNI is 22%. Still below the European average.
The Government boasts about the GDP when it suits them but where does all the money go?
Minimum wage is below the Living Wage.
Public services are inadequate. No NHS, long waiting lists.
Millions in poverty.
