You mentioned in Locked Out, that unemployment is a lagging statistic. Does this mean that National could be justified in blaming Labour?

Tāmaki Makaurau. Proudly left-wing. Very new to Bluesky and never did the Twitter thing.

06.08.2025 21:52 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0All the talk of income adjusted fines was great. That's just another way that the current government has screwed over low income earners. On 1st Oct 2024, the court fee changed from $30 to $55. Who pays court fees? Poor people who can't afford to pay their fine to Police/local govt in the 1st place.

When Christopher Luxon works out who is in charge in his govt can he let the rest of us know?

- where replacement ferries are coming from
- how much they will cost
- who will pay for them
- how the port infrastructure will be delivered,
- the fiscal or economic impact

Last night's edition doesn't appear to be on Spotify. My whole week has been thrown off!

I don't get to comment live and am too broke for Patreon (perhaps after xmas), but what I would say to you is I'm here, listening, and often yelling at Luxon and David Seyword in my car along with you and Chewie. Hi!
