Again, probably hopeful thinking, but the cartel 6 approach to this window actually makes me more confident longterm.

If #NUFC do get Sesko, I hope they:

- sign Wissa
- sign a CB
- sign a CM

then sell Isak. After August 25th. For £150m min.

A) because he shouldn’t play against us

B) we should send a message to the league that our business is our no.1 priority.

Make them sweat.

Hopefully #NUFC losing every pre season game is a pre requisite for a title win.

Couldn’t agree more with this.

The more I have time to process, the more I want us to cash in on Isak (subject to signing Wissa & Sesko).

The more Liverpool, their fans, and their client journalists speak, the more #NUFC should be reassured we hold all the cards

None of this is ideal. But they pay the going rate or they fuck off.

FB: 2 of the best kids & Trips
Wingers: depth & pace

CB: depth if sign RCB
CM: depth if sign a lock unpicker
ST: hopefully Sesko & Wissa

Obviously optimistic thinking but you’d hope after the way the summer has gone & the length of time we’ve been in negotiation with Sesko, that #NUFC have made this bid at least fairly confident it’s in the right ballpark

The fact there are no reports of a rejection is hopefully a good sign.

Yeah don’t expect it to be easy with a wad of cash burning our pockets but I think the stability / direction a (hopefully long term) new CEO/DoF would bring offsets a load of that.

Fingers crossed we can crawl over the line this window in a position where we can compete.

I think I’m in this camp now. I think he’s burnt his bridges no matter how much the club have tried to protect him.

Best scenario for me is we buy Sesko & Wissa (plus the CB & CM we still need).

Eddie is always very calculated with his comments, so I’m intrigued he’s said he only knew about Isak in Spain via the media.

If the signings are similar profiles to Guehi, Paqueta, Sesko, Wissa then it’s a top squad #NUFC

Ramsdale, like Wissa, would be a pretty sound signing for #NUFC

27, PL quality - not the absolute elite, but would genuinely compete for a starting spot with Pope, and is a step up on distribution.

Allows us to sign a younger prospect in next year or 2 as future no.1

Add in a young GK with good distribution &, as painful as the journey’s been, it would actually be a transformative window for #NUFC

Announce a DoF (I like we seem to be avoiding the big names) & a new CEO & the project is back on track

Tentatively sounds hopeful re Botman.

God we need a fucking signing this week - give us a lift.

I think Lando is, just, quicker than Oscar overall

But he lost ground in the first 10 races, plus is slightly more susceptible to pressure errors / failing to maximise key moments

Spa was always an Oscar track. If Lando can win the next two which are more suited to him this really will be an epic

Agree & love how much he just loves racing - shows in their driver philosophy.

I suspect if he stays then we’d get a good season out of him. World Cup year and he would want that move next season.

But yeah, I’d marginally prefer we cut our losses now if we could get a Sesko + Prem proven to compete. He clearly wants to go

Reinvest that & the Longstaff money into a couple of younger higher ceiling players & we’d be better off.

We have a really good team.

I know it’s not easy but FFS take a couple of calculated risks and get some players in to supplement.
