When I say the MAGA movement is post-truth, this is the sort of thing I mean. Push blatant lies in advance of an event, see overwhelming evidence that the lies were false, know that others saw it too, but plow ahead with the same lies, opposed to the notion that living in factual reality matters.

Never mind every other single abominable or corrupt thing to this miserable moment, the extrajudicial and unevidenced execution of 34 human beings by the U.S. Navy on the orders of a U.S. President acting in peacetime is sufficient for his impeachment and conviction.

Forget message differentiation; praising an openly corrupt Democratic politician while refusing to endorse the bright and vibrant hope of the next generation of Democrats goes beyond mere political malpractice into a betrayal of principles much more fundamental than partisan politics.

We wouldn’t be in this position if our elderly, often sick, leaders retired gracefully allowing a younger generation to take over rather than grasping to power until their literal last breath.
