The fact that AIPAC won’t endorse me is an endorsement in and of itself.

The incredible corruption of this is even worse because Trump didn't even pay his own legal bills (he used campaign funds) - this is purely theft for profit. www.brennancenter.org/our-work/res...

I liked the Platner ads too but I think there's a difference between "guy who had some bad reddit posts a decade ago" and "ex-Blackwater merc who still has a Nazi tattoo." Sucks bigtime that he's the only one taking positions and talking policy I like, but them's the breaks!

You have to be willing to walk away from these guys if they let you down, just as a matter of basic self respect. It's not a fandom. You're hiring them to do a job or not.

Statement of Cardinal Blase J. Cupich, archbishop of Chicago, on Standing with Immigrants
Oct. 21, 2025
My dear brothers and sisters, today I speak to you as your shepherd, but also as a fellow pilgrim who shares the pain of many of our immigrant communities. Families are being torn apart. Children are left in fear, and communities are shaken by immigration raids and detentions. These actions wound the soul of our city. Let me be clear. The Church stands with migrants.
We stand with a mother who crosses borders to feed her children. We stand with the father who labors in silence to build a better future. We stand with the young person who dreams of safety and a better future. Our parishes and schools will not turn away those who seek comfort, and we will not be silent when dignity is denied in the enforcement of the law, it is essential that we respect the dignity of every human being.
Now I want to say something directly to those immigrants without documents. Most of you have been here for years. You have worked hard. You have raised families. You have contributed to this nation. You have earned our respect. As the Archbishop of Chicago, I will insist that you be treated with dignity. Americans should not forget that we all come from immigrant families.
You are our brothers and sisters. We stand with you.
God bless you all.

After clergy arrests, religious pushback to ICE expands in Chicago (RNS) β€”Β More than 210 mostly Chicago-area clergy, representing a range of liberal and conservative traditions, have signed a letter criticizing ICE titled β€˜Jesus is Being Tear Gassed at Broadview.’

What's more 200+ Chicago-area clergy β€” Protestants, Catholics, and evangelicals β€” have signed a letter decrying ICE's efforts and voicing a willingness to put their "bodies on the line" for migrants, saying, "What Kristi Noem and her ICE agents are doing is immoral." religionnews.com/2025/10/21/a...

We have come to expect a dose of political theater in the political branches,

my colleagues on this court to act swiftly to vacate the majority's order before the
illegal deployment of troops under false pretenses can occur. Above all, I ask
those who are watching this case unfold to retain faith in our judicial system for
just a little longer.

Once again, one reason Trump says & does whatever he wants is bc every societal institution, including the media, has totally normalized & internalized the idea that the laws, the Constitution, & the international treaties we have signed & ratified simply don’t apply to this one guy. It’s maddening.

Along with the $20 billion U.S. taxpayer bailout to Argentina, the Trump admin announced another $20 billion for Argentina from private banks. But the banks won’t lend the money without a guarantee from the federal government. So it’s a $40B taxpayer bailout.

Many people are outraged that Trump is demolishing part of the White House. But of course Trump can't do it without help. It's ACECO LLC of Silver Spring MD ("full-service demolition") that is tearing down the People's House. You can call them and let them know how you feel. 1/

Tax Day Is Met With Tea Parties (Published 2009)

Here's a gift link to the New York Times' coverage of the initial Tea Party rallies in April 2009 which inspired the media to treat it like a massive movement.

Check out how tiny the crowds were:

Philly: 200
DC: "several hundred"
Boston: 500
Austin: 1,000
Houston: 2,000
