Fully obsessed with this record now. Couple of additional things: 1) the first track turns out to be an old Wobbly anthem; 2) watching this show of his from last year (www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvV-...) and i guess he toured with narcan and plan B to hand out at shows. That's praxis.

It's bar exam week, which means i sat for the damn thing 10 years ago. At the time, I thought studying for it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. Kinda funny, since the next two years were full of panic attacks and secondary trauma from standing next to good people on their way to jail & prison.

I use that site all the time for myself for the use case it says on the tin. And it's very good if you have a particular trigger you want to check for. But even that site doesn't always have enough context. I'd argue this misses quite a bit of context about why the scene in question is upsetting.

So it’s like a kind of “restraint” that happens “prior” to publication? Can’t think of any authority that’s on point. Seems fine.

I often think about how AI purveyors are trying to get us to use it so we structure our lives around technology they control. And while I think that’s true in a lot of cases, sometimes it’s just another bullshit upcharge.
