Like tiny alien trees, strange cylinders with a smooth and metallic-like surface standing on short white stalks grow along decaying wood. They reflect a range of colors from purple, to blue, and green. The background of the photo is a combination of soft dark and light green from distant plants. These little things are about 1mm tall.

That iridescent metallic shine on the fruit bodies of the White-footed Slime are so cool!

Return the Black Hills to native people. Other places would also be good, don’t get me wrong, but there is so much mineral wealth in the Black Hills that deserves infinitely better stewardship and isn’t gonna get it as long as mining companies can just walk onto public land.

Legal citizenship should be virtually effortless to obtain and near instantaneous to process, and should be paired with sweeping grants of asylum.

Sex ed should be mandatory and all students regardless of gender should study periods, childbirth, PCOS, and endometriosis.
