Coffee is the only thing we know of that has solid evidence showing it delays onset of Parkinson’s. Exercise, maybe, but it’s v hard to distinguish between its amelioration of symptoms and delay of onset.

Makes me crazy that economists (are required to?) bury their chart labels in verbose text notes. Intentionally making their work more impenetrable.

β€˜Anti-Trump activist’: Conservative groups rip former Romney adviser’s attempt to influence MAGA agenda A prominent economist trying to influence the incoming Trump administration is facing criticism from conservative groups over his organization's liberal donors.

Cass has avoided full-throated Never-Trumperism, but he's still been eviscerated by Radical Red Right Trumpster Republicans for inadequate goose-stepping and boot-licking. www.foxnews.com/politics/con...

Indeed. Or the first one anyway. It’s just stunning how many of those break points you see ~1980 across all sorts of economic indicators. Completely reverses the huge, epochal, unprecedented wealth dispersal that happened 1930s to late 70s, for instance.

Updated version of this graph, through ’23. The explanation (second graph) is just arithmetic.

Rich people sit on their wealth, like Smaug the Dragon. They don't turn it over in spendingΒ β€” the driving force of economic activity, production, and investment (ask any producer).

Trump Says His Unpredictable Style Gives Him Leverage. But It Has a Cost.

In a game of chicken, the trick is to convince your opponent that you’ve thrown the steering wheel out the window. Not to actually throw the steering wheel out the window.

Again, I know everyone wants to yell at The Democrats & Chuck Schumer & Hakeem Jefferies, but there are 10-25 people in Washington who could literally end all of this tomorrow, & none of them are Democrats, & they continue to get 24/7 free passes for being absolute oath-violating cowards. Focus.
