Many many baby blackcurrants sprouting on a bright and healthy green bush.

Today's offering, a wildly fruiting blackcurrant bush. The birds don't care for this one much, although I'll be lucky if they leave me a single cherry or plum. At least I know there will be jam! 🌱

It's so maddening, for them of all parties to be ingratiating themselves with the worst of Britain.

Well done for speaking out. I'm not a member of any party but I always vote. Have yet to give SF a 1st pref simply because I don't trust them to hold firm on LGBTQ+ rights, women's rights or anti-racism stances (some dubious local reps). They need to understand a huge % of Irish people are sound!

I have been told that skeet is the bluesky term for tweet?! The pears are the conference variety - absolutely luscious and juicy when ripe but it takes a long time and much arguing with local birds to get there :)

First skeet. Here, have a photo of this baby pear growing in my garden. I did not expect fruit from this tree for a couple of years yet! Looks like it may be a bumper year in this part of Ireland.
