Exactly what I was thinking of. That's still in my camera roll for when I can't take the world (roughly three times a week).

This is so good. A better-than-the-already-intensely-good-I-was-expecting kind of good.

My goodness. Trevor Henderson has created this magnificent rendition of the Pine Arch Creature, which [spoiler alert] the fictional Trevor Henderson contends with in my novel The October Film Haunt.

This is magnificent. I'm in love with it. A manifestation of why Trevor Henderson had to be "Trevor Henderson" in the novel.

I'm thrilled that you're reading it, Paul! And my new goal is to write the kind of book you also don't risk reading before work. :)

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

This one really hurts. Rest well, Catherine O'Hara. You were a great talent, and few people in history have had such a sparkle in their eyes. 71 is too young.

Rural vs. urban is certainly more accurate. I think it gets lumped into state categories simply because of elections. I live in Atlanta and am depressingly aware of how isolated we are.

My story β€œThe Teeth of America” (free at michaelwehunt.com/2020/05/31/t...) imagines the beliefs of white supremacists transmuting them into literal monsters. But as grim as this story was years ago, it failed to predict how fully the alignment of the U.S. government with such evil could be.

I have been very much looking forward to Shelby Oaks and should really bump it to #1 on my list. Man Finds Tape also feels like it could share an affinity with the novel, so I need to watch that one, as well.

I appreciate all of this! Yeah, the pacing was certainly by design, but the fact that the book was typeset and packaged to look like a shorter novel than it is didn't do it many favors. It'll probably be a while before I write a novel that long again. Just glad it's been working for so many readers!

Por poco me quedo sin este libro del gran Michael Wehunt, autor del genial Un Lugar Mejor (Greener Pastures), ya que estaba fuera de stock en la web de la editorial Dilatando Mentes.
