Streaming some modeling in Blender right now!

Thinking I might stream this 40k-inspired environment I'm working on in Blender tomorrow afternoon-ish Berlin-time. I require moral support to get it finished.

Here's one of the failed attempts at recreating Elden Ring's tornadoes using shell texturing. I think with some motion blur on top this solution would look amazing but it wasn't quite the look I was after so I moved on to the solution you see in the video.

I am aware that Shadow of the Erdtree did not in fact release recently.

After a prolonged absence I'm very happy to be back making videos! In this one I try to recreate Elden Ring's tornado effect.

The frets polish up really nicely. Not sure what material they are, maybe brass?

I cut and shaped a new nut to replace the old broken one. It's far from perfect but at least this one has the correct number of holes.

There's almost always a better, faster, and more fun way of doing whatever you're trying to do with VDBs. I'm mostly about the fun part.

Nut is broken so I'll be replacing that. This guitar also has a 0th fret! Very cool.

Made by Musima Markneukirchen in the German Democratic Republic. Interestingly written in English, not sure why that is.

My partner brought this busted old GDR-built acoustic home from the kindergarten where they work, and I'm going to see if I can make it playable again. Wish me luck!
