Please make this make sense. My daily, life-saving medicine, Evrysdi, that slows/stops my terminal disability, SMA, is only covered for 24 days every 27 days by Medicaid. That's right, they intentionally make me miss three doses per month to save money on saving my life.

Bad news, I have been diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkins Lymphoma.

Listen, I'm tired of being diplomatic on social media about this. This guy doesn't care how many disabled people are kicked off government insurance. JD Vance said the Medicaid cuts are "immaterial." Elon called us parasites. Let's stop pretending this administration doesn't hate disabled people.

Disabled people are everywhere. Even if you don't see us, don't acknowledge us, we are still around. And we deserve access to the same things as everyone else.

As a disabled person, I'm having trouble finding the desire to celebrate the independence day of a country that has voted to end independence for 12 million disabled, sick, and elderly people.

In case no one has told you, the hard times always pass, even when it feels like they never will. Don't give up. Things are turning around for me. I believe they will for you, too. Just hang on.

18 months. That's how long I've been trapped in the same room with the same walls surrounding my hospital bed. With my main caretaker taking a nasty fall, and the current state of nursing making it easier to find a unicorn, literally getting out of bed became a nearly impossible task.

Imagine being such a fragile baby that in order to rid the world of a minority that you don't like, you cut the funding to the program designed to help prevent people who are a part of that minority from harming themselves. You can draw your own conclusion as to why someone might do that.

It's not easy.

Some are being condescending with a veil of positivity, but most genuinely are trying to tell you that you are stronger than them and that they admire your strength, but it comes across badly.

Another day when I've been told I am "brave" for just existing because someone would "unalive themselves" if they had to deal with what I have to deal with.

If you ever have the urge to say this to someone, don't. It's not the compliment you think it is.
