Gave away nothing. If you read that post and use your critical thinking skills, you'll note that I subsequently note that the church parking lot incident was December 7, and therefore 7 1/2 weeks ago, a clue that the months thing was dark humor about how things feel to *us here in Minneapolis*.

And then when you try to add a note to clear up the time frame, you get mentions full of folks telling you it doesn't matter. Maddening!

Recruitment posters and slogans focus on ideas of national defense and sacred duty, positioning immigrants as an existential threat by imploring applicants to “defend the homeland” against an incursion of “foreign invaders.” Veterans get a special nod with phrasing like “your nation calls once more.” The work of detaining immigrants is depicted as an epic, heroic quest, with frontier imagery and cowboy-hat clad horsemen alongside language like “one homeland, one people, one heritage.”

I'm of the opinion that the expectation should be confirming our sources and the dates of the events depicted.

Agreed on that last part! But information hygiene matters. People are sharing videos all over and trying to understand who's doing what, when. Yesterday some older videos were making the rounds as depicting yesterday morning.

To me, the answer is clear.

I know we all want heroes, but I do not understand why people keep circulating this old quote. Talk to someone in Minneapolis. Has MPD intervened? No. Has anyone been fired? Again, nope.

Very little if anything seems to have changed on the ground. ICE is still out there terrorizing neighborhoods and trying to disappear neighbors. None of us on the ground are buying this bullshit. We will keep organizing and fighting.

please remember that no matter how many “ICE is losing in MN” articles you read today, there is still a very real, urgent, ongoing crisis in Minnesota.

I want every single DFLer to show this run-up-the-score attitude this year. We have a historic chance to push back against the state GOP that invited, begged for this occupation to come down on our heads. No consultant bullshit, triple-tested messaging. Just full-court press from our representatives
