According to the findings of my brief search, a bill passed by the CA legislature but not signed by the governor will become law if he doesn't veto it within 12 days (please correct me, CA-knowers, if I'm wrong). The pharma industry was chuffed, as they got to bring staple generic drugs back under patent because they had a new HFA propellant. My albuterol inhalers only recently got cheap again. I'm disappointed to learn there's still a greenhouse emissions problem with the inhalers. 2/

I was diagnosed with asthma in 1st grade (1985). When I was a kid, the propellant in inhalers was CFCs. These were banned by the 1987 Montreal Protocol due to their role in ozone depletion, and phased out in the 00s. 1/
