Justice secretary wants most jury trials scrapped
Only cases of alleged murder, rape or manslaughter will be decided by a jury under new proposals to cut court backlogs.
This is a Monarchy. Trials happen under the monarch's coat of arms.
Doesn't anybody realise how being imprisoned without a jury, the defendant's peers looks.

TV presenter David Dimbleby joins successful campaign to save 100-year-old school β Discover SWNS
Delighted to see Hotwells School in Bristol maintaining its secular status - and not being taken over by a religious school. Schools should be MORE inclusive and pluralistic - not segregating children according to religion or forcing a particular religion on them.

So...
A back injury bad enough to warrant an A&E MRI scan who then insisted on specialist spinal treatment.
Cracked vertebrae & herniated/bulging discs really stops you doing stuff.
Just told that NHS wait times are so long that the soonest help will be a phone consultation in Feb at the earliest.

Red and blue graphic that says "PFIs were 70% more expensive. EveryDoctor's new report exposes the lobbying push to bring back PFI. Chancellor Rachel Reeves could revive a financing model once branded a "catastrophic wate of taxpayers' money".
π‘Did you know the NHS is about to pay Β£21bn+ to private companies? πΈ
A staggering amount that could have gone straight into hospitals and front-line care β but instead, itβs lining the pockets of private firms.

The govt's proposed new asylum laws are impractical, ineffectual, and outright cruel. Aping the rhetoric of Reform won't fix the real issues in this country; it will only stir up more false divisions and endanger already vulnerable communities.

What happens when wolves leave Yellowstone - WyoFile
Crossing Yellowstone National Park's protective boundary, an apex predator becomes prey. These wolves don't last long in the modern Mountain West.
Wolf 1331F thrived in Yellowstone. Outside the park, she faced a deadly reality: hunters and no protections. Thousands of Northern Rockies wolves face the same fate, often unnoticed. Their stories deserve to be told, and all wolves deserve protection no matter where they roam.
